The epic debut solo project BLEED from Smoke of Oldominion is hitting September 26th on Superhappywax Recordings. BLEED is an intense journal of Smokes life over the last 4 years providing his unabashed views on relationships, politics, religion, fashion rap and much more.

Features include JFK of Grayskul, Simple of Sandpeople, iAMe of Oldominion, Akil and singer Yadira Brown and boasts top-notch production by Smoke, Pale Soul, Simple and Zebulon Dak.

This album is sure to expand perceptions of his pioneering NW crew OLDOMINION which introduced acts such as Grayskul, (RSE), Boom Bap Project, (RSE) Sleep (Up Above), Barfly (Candy's .22/Selfcore) to name a few. By integrating Rap with elements of live instrumentation, Rock and touches of Drum & Bass, Smoke has crafted an album that's listener friendly while remaining entirely unique. The album was hand-picked by Superhappywax as the first release on their new label after establishing themselves as a major hub for NW Hip Hop releases for the past 3 years with their retail/cultural Hip Hop website.

Biography

Equipped with matinee idol looks and a smoothed out demeanor, 25 year-old Smoke (aka Smoke Maltodexitrin aka Smoke M2D6) is Oldominion’s resident white boy you could take home to mama—that is, if mama had a thing for emo-thug emcees who only rap because they can’t sing. A multifaceted and viciously talented musician, Smoke employs an aggressive combination of touring, hosting, recording, and beat-making that allows him to live off his music—not bad for a man from a trailor in Post Falls, ID where Bob Dylan’s “You Gotta Serve Somebody” provided the prophetic soundtrack to his birth. Having opened across the nation for well-known acts such as the Gza, the Coup, Atmosphere, Swollen Members and Xzibit alongside his Oldominion fam, Smoke’s live performances evoke images of a rapping Transformer or a hip hop Paul Bunyan, while his recorded material has proved powerful enough to compel junkies to kick their habit and heartbreak sufferers to find peace.

In the future for SMOKE, he's produced yet-to-be-released tracks featuring Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, Capadona, Killa Priest, Greggory Issacs, Pep Love, Mika Nine, 2Mex, Psc, Pigeon John, Slug of Atmosphere, Pretty Girls Make Graves and Mad Skillz plus a majority of the upcoming GRAYSKUL album coming out on Rhymesayers Ent. in late 2006.
