- What can people expect to see on your upcoming U.S.
tour?
Well I play in a 4 piece band...if anyone saw us as reaching quiet on the cLOUDDEAD tour last year, its in that same vein.
- Any memories of the worst show you ever played?
Too many to pick just one...our set for the Anticon 2nd annual 10 year anniversary in LA was pretty horrible.
- I read somewhere you are vegan, do you find it hard to follow a vegan
diet while on the road?
You just have to keep an eye open for whole foods and other "health food" stores and stock up when you can...also, every city has at least one or two bomb vegan or vegetarian restaurants...
- About the new album, Where does the title Oaklandazulasylum come from?
I was tripping on mushrooms one night and riding my bike around oakland and i started singing this line: I'm just tryin to keep my cool in the oaklandazulasylum..." and it just kind of seemed to fit...and my partner anna liked it as the title too.
- Do you write on the road or do you wait to be in the studio with a beat?
I write if words come to my head...which isnt much these days...usually words come when i have a lot of idle time...devil's playground nameen...
- What are some things you get inspiration from while making music?
From listening to other music...sometimes I think I hear something and I'm only imagining it but it seems cool to me so I might try it...sometimes I get real depressed and eat a lot and watch a shitty movie and then its late at night when the credits start to roll and I have an idea for a song....
- What artists are you feeling right now?
I like the new Bonny Prince Billy...Silver Jews, Modest Mouse, I really like these two Eliot Smith songs this kid put on a mixtape for me....
- Is there anyone you haven't worked with that you would like to?
My partner Anna...Tricky, Clint Black, Lords of Acid, Porno for Pyros
- What's going on with you after the tour? More touring? Work on album?

Hopefully I will be able to work again and get the demons of ambition and vanity away from my precious frail creativity.
